ДЕГРАДАЦИЯ ОЛЕДЕНЕНИЯ И ФОРМИРОВАНИЕ КАТАСТРОФИЧЕСКИХ СЕЛЕЙ В СОВРЕМЕННЫХ ЛЕДНИКОВО-МОРЕННЫХ КОМПЛЕКСАХ ПРИЭЛЬБРУСЬЯ

Аннотация
Рассмотрен механизм формирования катастрофических селей в различных ледниковых долинах Приэльбрусья на современном этапе деградации оледенения. На примере изменений ледниково-моренного комплекса Каярты, выявленных по материалам дистанционного мониторинга, определена решающая роль погребённых льдов в формировании катастрофических селей, сошедших на г. Тырныауз в XX в. Проанализирована динамика ледниковых озёр в долине р. Адыл-Су у ледника Башкара и оценена вероятность их прорыва. По результатам дистанционного мониторинга получены количественные показатели динамики оползня в долине р. Кубасанты и установлено его влияние на формирование катастрофических селей. Приведены возможные способы борьбы с катастрофическими селями в зависимости от механизма их формирования, не прибегая при этом к строительству дорогостоящих защитных сооружений.
