Современное состояние ледников Корякского нагорья и оценка их эволюции к середине текущего столетия

Аннотация

В гляциологическом отношении Корякское нагорье исследовано недостаточно. На время публикации Каталога ледников СССР в 1982 г. здесь было выявлено 715 ледников, сейчас – только 237. Для исследования использовались космические снимки Landsat MSS, TM и ETM+ и Terralook ASTER. В этом регионе распространены каменные глетчеры, которые, вероятно, ранее при составлении каталога были приняты за ледники. Проанализировано сокращение площади ледников в зависимости от их морфологического типа и экспозиции. По сравнению с данными аэрофотосъёмки 1950 г. общая площадь ледников уменьшилась на 40–70%. На основе климатического сценария ECHAM 5 (B1) оценена эволюция оледенения Корякского нагорья: к 2049–2060 гг. оледенение здесь сократится лишь незначительно.
